How do I use Sync Pro?
Overview:
Sync Pro software is a desktop application designed to scan, import, and upload monitor data into Field360 Studio. The Sync Pro interface enables users to:
- Scan monitor data and view details including grower, season, farm, field, and task.
- Sort and select individual data files to ensure only the correct fields, years, and tasks are uploaded to the correct grower.
- Upload data to the secure cloud server for use with Field360 Studio.
-
- Note: The data will NOT flow to Insights.
-
- View preview maps for instant feedback on the planting rate and variety for as-planted data or the yield and moisture for yield data.
Requirements:
- Operational Access in Connex (pioneer employee or sales professional)
- A Windows based PC (windows 7,8, or 10)
- An Active Internet Connection
Process:
- Launch Sync Pro and log in to download or update your operation list by entering your email address and password associated with your account.
- Sync Pro tries to scan the card automatically if a USB drive is connected to the computer.
- If data is stored in a different location on the USB drive or on the computer's hard drive, click on the ellipses
icon in the add data... field to point Sync Pro to the correct directory.
- Several monitors require that the data is scanned from the root (first or top-most directory) of the USB drive. This is the location one level above the file folder containing the data. For example, John Deere GS3 data would be scanned from the E:\ directory if a USB is mounted to drive E. If the GS3_2630 folder was dropped on a user’s desktop, select C:\users\username\Desktop, not C:\users\username\Desktop\GS3_2630.
- Click Scan.
- After the scan is complete, the new window displays the discovered data. A blue card at the top shows the types of data discovered.
- Proceed to select/deselect the data in batch or individual files by:
- Select or deselect each type of data.
- (For example, AgLeader Versa Application or Deere GS3 Grain Harvest.)
- Select individual files by clicking each box.
- Sort data by clicking the corresponding column.
- Group data by right-clicking a column and selecting Show Group Panel.
- Drag column headers to the space labeled drag a column header here to group by that column to more easily identify subsets of data so that specific crop years, growers, or farms can be selected individually.
- Select or deselect each type of data.
- Choose an Operation from the drop-down list, or utilize the Smart Search by typing some, or all, of the operation name.
- If necessary, use the Crop Year menu to correct the crop year for the data (if it is entered incorrectly in the monitor or the internal battery of the monitor runs dry). By default, this option should be set to Load to Device Year so that the data is uploaded to the crop year set by the monitor.
- Click Next to continue.
- The system will proceed to copy the data to a location on your hard drive, if a USB drive is being used - do not remove the device until this step completes.
- Remove the memory card and return it to the user.
- Select the orange START UPLOAD button.
- Files that have been completely uploaded will be moved from the Pending Uploads section to the Completed Uploads section.
- (Optional) After data is archived, use the maps feature to visualize the data copied from the source data to ensure that the collected data is valid. These maps are intended for preview purposes only, and are unable to printed or saved.
