How do I set irrigation events for a field?
Overview:
The Irrigation service allows you to schedule, edit, and delete irrigation events for fields where corn was placed. Tracking irrigation events helps you predict when to apply nitrogen to your fields.
Requirements:
- Corteva Connection Establish (If wanting to push/pull zones)
- Roles and Permissions set
- Invoice Granular Agronomy through Connex
- Fields are in Insights
- Crops Assigned in Activities
- Decision Zones Created or Synced from Corteva
- Field Details Set
Process:
- Select the operation in the operation search bar.
- Select Nitrogen.
- Select Add New Event on the field, and select Irrigation
- This can be done in bulk be selecting multiple fields and clicking Add New Event on the bottom right.
- On the Irrigation event card, first select if the event is single or recurring.
- A single event is on one day.
- A recurring event has a defined start and end date, and a frequency for how often the event repeats.
- A single event is on one day.
- Type in the amount of irrigation in inches.
- Select the checkbox if you want to include fertigation.
- If you include fertigation, select the product applied and the amount in either N rate or Product rate.
- If you include fertigation, select the product applied and the amount in either N rate or Product rate.
- Select Add Event.
- After you add the event, re-run the season simulation to see the effects of the irrigation.
Note: If you set Irrigation, Fertigation, or Nitrate Levels in the Granular Nitrogen web application, the events and settings are included in the nitrogen simulation enrolled crop zones when you run the simulation on the web.
