How Can I Confirm that Data Sharing Permissions are Correct in My John Deere?
Overview:
When initiating a data partnership from Corteva Fields with Deere, permissions should automatically be established correctly. The easiest way to guarantee correct permissions is to accept the default permissions as requested.
My John Deere users can use either their Team Manager or the Connections page on the Operations Center to verify that the necessary permissions are established correctly.
Requirements:
- A grower Corteva Fields account created.
- A My John Deere account created.
- Wireless data capability with Deere equipment.
- A Data connection established between Corteva Fields and Deere.
Process:
Option 1: Connections:
- Log in to My John Deere here.
- From the Operations Center, select Setup from the top drop-down menu.
- Select Connections.
- Select the card for Corteva Agriscience.
- Click Manage.
- Open the Access section.
- Click Edit.
- Slide the Access toggle to the right. Green = on.
- In the partner permissions window, assign the following permissions:
- Set Equipment Access Level to level 3 by clicking the + 1 time, or click the white circle with 1 inside it
- Under Equipment, check the box to allow Setup Builder, Product Manager, and Wireless Data Transfer
- Under Equipment, check the box to allow Remote Display Access.
- Set Location Access Level to level 3.
- Set Organization Management to level 2.
- Under Organization, check the box to allow Share Organization Data with Connected Software Companies.
- Set Work to level 2.
- Set Equipment Access Level to level 3 by clicking the + 1 time, or click the white circle with 1 inside it
- Save changes.
- Final Permissions should look like this:
- Save changes.
- Note: Permissions updated under Teams also update under Connections. They are one and the same.
Option 2: Team Manager:
- Log in to My John Deere here.
- From the dashboard, open the Operations Center
.
- Select Setup from the top drop-down menu.
- Select Team.
- Select the connection Corteva Agriscience
.
- Select Access Granted to Partner
- Click Edit.
- Edit permissions exactly as you would under the Connections section.
- Save Changes.
- Note: Permissions updated under Teams also update under Connections. They are one and the same.
