How do I Link Products in the FieldOp Resource Linker?
Overview:
After uploading monitor data, the system works to match information recorded by the monitor to our database of Pioneer and competitive products. We call the varieties identified this way linked products. If no match is found, or there are multiple products similar in name to what was entered, data must be manually linked in the FieldOp Resource Linker. This is a tool in Field360 Studio for editing the information that was recorded in the monitor such as task, crop, commodity or product information.
This guide focuses on linking or changing as-planted varieties. The same procedure applies to changing varieties for spraying or other application data.
Requirements:
- Farms and field boundaries created
- As-Planted data uploaded
Process:
Identify Unlinked Products
- In Field360 Studio, in the Grower window, select the Operation and Crop Year.
- Open the FieldOps menu.
- Select FieldOp Resource Linker.
- In the Task drop-down menu, select As-Planted.
- Open the Product tab.
- Identify unlinked data by comparing the Source Product and the Linked Product Column.
- Source Product - the variety entered or recorded in the monitor.
- Linked Product - the variety automatically assigned as the data was uploaded.
- Identify data more easily by sorting column headers.
- If the Linked product column is blank or incorrect, the data needs to be re-linked. Proceed to the section below, Auto-Search for Linkable Varieties.
Auto-Search for Linkable Varieties
- To automatically re-process all linked varieties, click the Set Products icon (double green seed bags).
- Note that products with no linked varieties display as unlinked.
- Click auto-search to prompt the system to check again for matches for all products.
- Allow time for auto-search to complete. This can take a few minutes.
- If a single possible match is found, it links automatically. If there are multiple possible matches, this is indicated in the multiple matches column.
- For varieties with multiple matches, click the down-arrow next to the text 'unlinked' in the Linked Product column.
- Select a variety from the list.
- Note: For families of products with multiple possible trait descriptions, there will often be multiple matches.
- Click Ok to link auto-searched varieties.
- The Linked Product column is now filled out for any matched variety.
- If there are no remaining unlinked products, close the FieldOp Resource Linker. If there are unlinked products remaining, proceed to Clean Up Remaining Unlinked Varieties Manually, the section below.
- Select the Operation name in the Domain Tree (the list of farms and fields found in the Resources window).
- Open the FieldOps menu.
- Click Link to Field Operations.
- Click ok twice.
