How do I manually draw boundaries around unlinked data?

Overview: 

 Machine data such as harvest, as-planted, and fertilizer data link spatially in Field360 Studio.  This means that the only thing data needs to be tied to a specific field is to have GPS coordinates that fall inside that field.  There is no need for farm and field names to match. However, this means that for operations with no field boundaries, uploaded machine data will not link.  There is no process for automatically creating field boundaries from unlinked data.  This prevents unwanted fields from being created inadvertently.  However, the Spatial Field Ops Linker in Field360 Studio can create boundaries from data and link data to that boundary if a user prompts it to do so. 

Sometimes, due to data issues, auto-building from the Spatial Field Ops linker is not a good option. We can still use the unlinked data as a guide for creating new fields. 

Requirements: 

• An Corteva Fields login created. 
• Monitor data uploaded for fields without boundaries. 

 Process: 

1. In Field360 Studio, in the Grower window, select the Operation and Crop Year. 
   • Note: In the toolbar above the map, click the transparent regions icon to turn transparency off.  Verify that it is not highlighted in a yellow box.  In the image below, transparency is on. 
   • 
2. Open the FieldOps menu. 
3. Select Spatial FieldOps Linker.
4. In the toolbar, locate the text Show.
5. Open the show drop-down menu to select a task

6. Select a row that contains a specific field.  The map will zoom to the location of this data and display as a mint-green region. 
   • 
7. In the Spatial FieldOps Linker toolbar, click the icon with a green plus over a yellow field to draw a new field.
   • 
8. Draw a new field.  left-click to begin drawing.  Move the cursor around the border.  Each left-click adds a corner.  When your mouse is over the final corner of the field shape, double-click to finalize. 
   • 
9. The pick domain window opens. 
10. To add a new farm, first select the operation name at the top of the small domain tree inside the pick domain window. 
11. Then, click the new farm icon at the lower-left corner of the pick domain window. 
    • 
12. Enter a farm name in the edit farm window. 
13. Click ok to close the edit farm window.
14. Highlight the new farm name in the small domain tree inside the pick domain window. 
15. Click the new field icon towards the lower-left corner of the pick domain window.

16. Enter a field name in the edit field window. 
17. Click ok to close the edit field window. 
18. Highlight the new field name in the pick domain window.
    • 
19. Click ok to create the field.

20. The new field now appears in the large domain tree in the resources window located to the left of the map in Field360 Studio.
