How Do I Use As-Planted Data With Granular Nitrogen?
Overview:
The Granular Crop Model uses planting information to predict nitrogen needs and generate prescriptions. One option for adding planting details is to manually create a planting event. Another is to pull seed proposals from Corteva fields.
This article concerns the third option: uploading planting data from a monitor to Granular Agronomy.
Prerequisites:
Process:
- Upload as-planted machine data to Granular Agronomy...
- ... either by uploading directly to Insights.
- ...or by uploading data via Corteva Fields.
- Use the Data Diagnosis tool to determine the best option for you (login required).
- Allow data time to process, usually 1-2 hours off-season, possibly up to 24 hours during peak planting or harvest.
- Select the appropriate grower from the upper-right corner of Granular Agronomy.
- Open the Events tab.
- As-planted data automatically displays as a Planted Event on the fields list if the data exceeds the 70% field coverage threshold. The Source value displays as "Machine Data." You can always toggle back to other planting sources, such as a VRS prescription.
