How Do I Export Layers From Field360 Studio?
Overview:
You can export layers from Field360 Studio in a variety of formats.
TIP: It is important to be intentional in how you organize your layers. Prepare folders to receive layers before beginning the export process. See step 9 for details about naming your exported layer files.
Prerequisites:
- Grower, farm, fields, and layers exist in Field360 Studio
Process:
- In the domain tree, right-click any of these levels: Grower, Farm, Field, or any Layer.
- Alternatively, select the domain level, the Layers > Export Layers
- Click export.
- Select export layers.
- Optionally, enter all or part of a layer name to filter for certain layers:
- leave this setting blank, or at " .* " to search for all layers.
- You can use "%" to search for variables. For example, "%soil%" would search for all layers with "soil" anywhere in the name.
- Filter by layer type.
- Choose to export layers saved to the field level, crop zone level, or both.
- Optionally, choose to add the domain hierarchy to the file name (adds farm and field information to the file name, may be redundant, see step 9).
- Choose an output format from one of these supported options:
- Shapefile
- CSV
- KML
- Tab-Delimited (txt file)
- Json
- GeoJSON
- BFS
- Choose an option under Filename Template to customize boundary file names.
- "/ " indicates a folder separation. For example, the filename option "Farm / Field / Layer" results in two separate folders, one with the farm name, and one with the field name, housing a file called "Layername.shp"
- " - " indicates the parts of a file name. For example, the filename option "Farm - Field - Boundary" results in a file called "Farmname - Fieldname - Layer.shp"
- "/ " indicates a folder separation. For example, the filename option "Farm / Field / Layer" results in two separate folders, one with the farm name, and one with the field name, housing a file called "Layername.shp"
- Click the three dots next to Output Folder to select a location to save the layers.
- Click export to save files.
